  Matthew N. Morrow

  Matt Morrow is a shareholder at Brown Borkowski & Morrow. Matt is an attorney who specializes in Corporate Law, Entity Formations, Business Transactions, Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Construction Law, Landlord/Tenant, and Estate Planning Law. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, class of 2013, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy as well as Political Science. Mr. Morrow graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the Michigan State University College of Law, cum laude, in 2016 and was admitted to the Michigan State Bar Association that same year. While in law school, Mr. Morrow served as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Business and Securities Law and as a member of the Arbitration Competition team. In 2017, Mr. Morrow graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with a LL.M. in Real Property Development. Prior to joining Brown Borkowski & Morrow, Mr. Morrow was a legal intern at Holland & Knight in the real estate department of their Miami office. Mr. Morrow advises clients in all facets of Corporate Law, Corporate Transactions, and Real Estate Law. His previous representations have included matters involving commercial lease and real estate sales transactions, from small residential homes to multi-million dollar inter-state developments; forming multi-tiered business structures for income property ventures; as well as providing guidance on corporate governance to new and established business entities.

  Mary Mahoney is a shareholder at Brown Borkowski & Morrow. Mary graduated from the University of Michigan and from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in Detroit. She was admitted to the bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1988. 95% of Ms. Mahoney's practice involves litigation, which includes employment law, commercial & contract law, administrative proceedings, and business transactions.

  Susan Leigh Brown

  Shareholder and Founder

  Susan Brown is a shareholder and founder at Brown Borkowski & Morrow. She has devoted her 33+ years as a lawyer to litigation and appeals in the areas of insurance defense, including auto, premises and property insurance and coverage, employment law and counseling, and personal injury defense. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and the Wayne State University Law School. Susan is the past author of the No-Fault Column in the Michigan Defense Quarterly publication for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel. She has presented numerous seminars on various aspects of Michigan No Fault law and insurance claims handling, as well as several employment law seminars on topics including employment discrimination, workplace policies, and wages and hours law. Susan has also taught several employment law seminars on topics including HIPAA, COBRA, wages and benefits, employment discrimination, whistleblower claims, and drafting and enforcing personnel policies. In addition to practicing law, Susan has served on several boards including the Board of Trustees for Kensington Academy, the Board of Directors of the Detroit Grand Prix Association (President 2000-2001), and the Board of Directors of Knightsbridge Condominium Association. She has also worked on several community events including Detroit's Tri-Centennial celebration, Ford Motor Company's Centennial, Super Bowl XL-VIP Transportation, and the Detroit Jazz Festival. She is also active in numerous, local charitable endeavors.

  Thomas J. Borkowski Jr.

  Tom Borkowski is a shareholder at Brown Borkowski & Morrow. Tom was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan and has resided in Franklin, Michigan since moving to the Metro Detroit area after graduating from law school. He is married with four children and three grandchildren. He has been a coach for various little league and softball teams in the Franklin Little League, travel softball teams and also still enjoys playing hardball in the Detroit Men's Senior Baseball League. Tom also enjoys hunting and fishing in Lewiston and Alpena, as well as many other outdoor activities.

  David Eagles was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2014 after graduating cum laude from Western Michigan University/Thomas M. Cooley Law School. David switched to the legal profession after a long career in clinical and laboratory practice management. David practices insurance defense litigation. David serves on several committees in State and local Bar Associations in addition to his litigation practice. He maintains his Medical Assistant certification in the State of Michigan.

  Judith ("Judy") Herman is a senior attorney with the Law Offices of Susan Leigh Brown where she specializes in first and third-party auto claims. Judy received her B.A. from Michigan State University in 1984 with Honors and her J.D. from Wayne State University in 1987 cum laude. Judy brings extensive, diverse experience to her practice daily. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and managed the national commercial subrogation team at First Recovery Group/Equian before recently returning to a litigation practice. Judy has litigated matters throughout the State of Michigan. She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She serves as case evaluator, facilitator and arbitrator in Oakland and Macomb Counties. Judy is also a member of the Michigan Association for Justice, previously on the Board of Directors, and co-chair of the Liens and ERISA Committee. In addition to practicing law, Judy also received a secondary teaching degree from Madonna University in 2006; she has taught English in public, private and alternative high schools in Oakland and Macomb Counties. She is a passionate advocate for the rights of public schools, teachers and students. Judy has volunteered in the West Bloomfield School District in many capacities ranging from PTO Officer/Board member to West Bloomfield Education Foundation Board member and participated in and co-chaired district-wide committees. She has also engaged in legislative advocacy on behalf of West Bloomfield and other Michigan public school districts. Judy has served on committees for Tamarack Camps and the Executive Board of Orchard Valley Swim & Tennis Club. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish Senior Life. Judy is a devoted wife and mother of 2 amazing young women in a "house divided", an avid reader, film buff, theatre-lover, traveler, bicyclist, and mahjong player who most enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially on Torch Lake.

  Patrick K. McGlinn

  Patrick's practice focuses on defending first- and third-party automobile cases. After serving for over 17 years as an Associate Counsel and Senior Associate Counsel for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission and 8 years as an adjunct instructor in Professional Responsibility and Prosecutorial Ethics at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Patrick has worked extensively for different automobile insurers defending them or their insureds in litigation across Michigan. His auto practice includes analysis of pre-litigation claims, discovery, preparing and successfully arguing motions for summary disposition, and litigating cases.

  Sara Gorman Rajan

  Sara Gorman Rajan is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School, also earning a Master's Degree in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Peace and Security Studies from Wayne State University. Ms. Rajan attained her undergraduate degree in political science (with a minor in sociology) from Oakland University. Ms. Rajan has been a practicing attorney with almost 20 years of litigation experience. While in law school, Ms. Rajan was a law clerk to the Honorable Helene J. White at the Michigan Court of Appeals, and, interned with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Child and Family Abuse Bureau led at the time by Nancy J. Diehl. Ms. Rajan's practice focuses almost exclusively on all facets of state and federal litigation, concentrating primarily on commercial and business litigation, as well as all areas of family law. Ms. Rajan is a domestic relations mediator, and is a certified Collaborative Family Law Attorney. Ms. Rajan is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbel, was deemed a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2012-2015, and was honored by Michigan Lawyers Weekly in 2009 as an Up and Coming Lawyer.
